Alice J. Buchanan

Alice J. Buchanan, 85, of Plainfield, passed away March 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Indianapolis on November 28, 1931 to the late Joe and Jessie Mae (Selmier) Hadley. Alice was married for 55 years to Joseph M. Buchanan. She was a loving mother and homemaker. Alice was a dedicated member of the Plainfield Untied Methodist Church. She was involved with the Hendricks County Humane Society and the Jericho Society. Alice was an avid volunteer in saving animals and helping them get adopted. She belong to the Cherry Grove Community Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Buchanan and brother, Jack Hadley. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 25, in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home at 10:00 am where friends may call on Friday, March 24, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery. Survivors include her sons, Brad and (Lisa) Buchanan, Jeff and (Sharie) Buchanan; grandchildren, Kristina, Bradley Jr., Claire and Kieran Buchanan.
