Merle M. "Old Lady" Sanders

Merle M. "Old Lady" Sanders, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away February 25, 2017. She was born July 8, 1924 to the late Merle and Florence (Fleming) Apple in Detroit, MI. She worked at the Standard Grocery in Plainfield and was a cafeteria worker at Plainfield High School before retiring. Merle is survived by her son, Merle W. (Denise) Sanders; 3 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max N. "Bud" Sanders. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. There will be no calling prior to services.
