Thomas F. Ragan

Thomas F. Ragan, 76, of Plainfield, passed away August 20, 2009. He was born April 3, 1933 to the late Charles and Ines (Rubert) Ragan. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Olin Brass (formerly Bridgeport Brass) for 40 years retiring as supervisor in 1995. After retirement he worked for both Hanna Chevrolet and Dugan Chevrolet for over 10 years. He was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church, the Valley of Indianapolis Masonic Lodge (32nd degree), and the Scottish Rite. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1963 Shirley A. (Anderson)Ragan,a son, Bruce Ragan and a grandson, Ryan Tridle. He is survived by a son, Chris Ragan; three daughters, Michele A. (Jeff) Ragan-Schreck, Laura S. (Michael) LaPorte and Lisa G. (Mark) Peterson; brother, Charles R. Ragan; sister, Madonna S. Fulbright; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Monday August 24, 2009 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday August 23. Burial, Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
