Noble W. Edwards

Noble W. Edwards, 95, of Plainfield, passed away December 7, 2016. He was born November 22, 1921 to the late Rufus and Anna (Purlee) Edwards in Bedford, IN. He was a former member of the Belleville United Methodist Church. He worked as a machinist at Allison's Transmission Plant for 37 years retiring in 1988. Noble is survived by 6 children, Rita (Robert) Johnson, Fred (Karen) Edwards, Cindi J. Cobb, Mark A. (Linda) Edwards, Barb S. (Dennis) Carter and Melissa A. (Cantrell) Coffey; 10 grandchildren, Cameron (Joey) Cobb, Travis (Erin) Cobb, Jameson Carter, Cole Coffey, Westin Coffey, Shaun Edwards, Chris Edwards, Anna Brow, Bob Johnson and Brian Johnson; two step-grandchildren, Bruce Thomas and Heather Thomas; and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi "June" Edwards. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, December 12, 2016 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Carlisle, IN Contributions may be made to Riley's Children Hospital.
