Louise Campbell Johnson

Louise Campbell Johnson, RN, BSN, 84, of Plainfield, passed away November 26, 2016. She was born on May 16, 1932 in Rowdy, KY to the late Emry and Rushia (Napier) Campbell. Louise was a nurse for 45 years retiring in 2000 from Community Hospital. She graduated from Marion County General Hospital as a registered nurse and later received her B.S.N. from Indiana University School of Nursing in 1982. She was a member and past president of the Indiana Association of Occupational Health Nurses. Louise was a dedicated member of the Long Branch Church of Christ in Greencastle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Johnson; several brothers and a sister, Myrtle Landrum. Visitation will be Friday, December 2, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 3, at 10:30 am in Hampton Gentry Funeral Home with visitation from 9:30 am until time of service. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include daughter, Dr. Ronda (Dr. David) Wells; sons, Randy and Doug Johnson; daughters-in-law Sally Hamilton and Dana Teasley; brother, Lewis (Kathleen) Campbell of Clay City, KY; sister-in-law Sandra Collins (Jerry) of Nashville, TN; adoptive sister Barbara Darbutt; adoptive brother Bobby Scott; 7 grandchildren, Matt Wells (Erin), Samantha Johnson, Austin Johnson, Sarah Wells, Jordan “Jay” Lynn Louise Johnson, Jarrett Johnson, Blake Johnson; 1 great-grandson John Wells; several nieces and nephews; and her primary caregiver, Juhui Wilcher. Contributions can be made to the Riverside Christian School (114 Riverside Road, Lost Creek, KY, 41348).
