Barbara J. Mayer

Barbara J. Mayer, 84, of Danville, passed away November 13, 2016. She was born October 14, 1932 to the late Clyde A. and Evah (Carrie) Reed in Indianapolis, IN. She was a coach and taught diving at Danville High School for 12 years retiring in 1998. Barbara is survived by a son, William G. (Mary) Mayer; 6 daughters, Beccy L. Mayer, Bobbejean (Roger) Nugent, Belinda Cope, Gretchen (Jeff) Bradley, Kim (Rick) Lawrence and Elizabeth (Mike) Monaghan; a sister, Ella Kuleff; 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Mayer, a brother Clyde Reed, and a sister, Delores Muffler. There are no services. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
