Diane A. Burrows

Diane A. Burrows, 81, of Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord November 6, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Indianapolis on March 28, 1935 to the late Robert Godsey and Jean (Ellis) Hewitt. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Burrows and her brother Larry Kelso. Diane was a dedicated homemaker and loving mother. She was a long time member of Eagledale Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was an active participant of many church activities. Diane and Jim enjoyed spending time with their large extended family, playing golf and taking annual trips to Clearwater, Florida. She is survived by her daughters, Leisa (Mike) English and Tanya (Cody) Settles; 5 grandchildren Jennifer (Steve) Haag, Joseph (Danielle) English, Samantha Settles, Nick English and Molly English; 6 great-grand children, Madison, Keirstin, Evan, Mason, Alexi, and Bentley. She gave her family many wonderful memories and she will be truly missed. Funeral services will be Friday, November 11, 2016 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, IN where friends may call from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
