Bernice L. Batton

Bernice L. Batton, 84, of Plainfield, passed away November 3, 2016. She was born on September 26, 1932 in Charleston, WV to the late William and Reba (White) Winkler. Bernice was a dedicated homemaker and loving mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Batton Sr.; sisters, Betty Jo Bruce and Carolyn Hancock; great grandchildren, Connor & Tyler Batton, Ethan & Elijah Woods, Cooper & Olivia O'Mara. Funeral services will be Monday, November 7, at 11:00 am in the chapel at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Visitation will be Sunday, November 6, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Survivors include her sons, Donald Jr. (Mary Ann), Will (Vickie) and Mark (Laura) Batton; daughter, Dena (Rex) Lindsay; brothers, Bill (Mable) and Rob (Karen Sue) Winkler; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren with one on the way.
