Michael D. Hackler

Michael D. Hackler, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away September 19, 2016. He was born June 8, 1947 in Washington, IN to Raymond Sr. and Norma (Moore) Hackler. Michael received his Bachelors degree from Ball State University. He retired in 2014 from Praxair Surface Technologies as a technician after 19 years. Michael enjoyed the Indianapolis 500, Colts, grilling, golfing, gardening and was a devoted family man. He also had a love for the ocean. Michael was a member of Greenwood Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Hackler Sr. Funeral services will be Friday, September 23, at 10:30 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call Thursday, September 22, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Flo Hackler; mother, Norma Hackler; daughters, Melissa Reynolds, Matilie Hackler and Marsha (Andre) Harlan; brother, Raymond (Rochelle "Rocky") Hackler Jr.; sisters, Diane (Ross) Guzik and Debra (Mark) Kleis; grandchildren, Logan, Ramsey & Kira Reynolds & Mikey and Andre Jr. "A.J." Harlan.
