Marie Celeste Scherer

Marie Celeste Scherer, 79, of Plainfield, passed away June 18, 2016 in her residence. She was born October 23, 1936 in Chicago, IL to the late Guy and Mary Raimondi. She worked in the accounts receivable department for Foulgerpratt Construction Company and as a clerk for Sanitary Grocery Store. Marie was also a full time homemaker raising 5 children. Funeral services will be Friday, June 24, at 11:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Thursday, June 23, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm and again on Friday from 10:00 am until service time. Survivors include her children, Mark (Dawn)and John (Lisa) Scherer, Therese Breitschwerdt, Timothy (Nancy) Scherer and Matt Scherer, fiance, (Carla); 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
