Geraldine S. Neeley

Geraldine Neeley, 95, of Plainfield, passed away April 15, 2016. She was born in Hoopston, IL on October 27, 1920 to the late Winton Bennett and Cora (Taflinger) Bennett Beckner. She worked for RCA as a tester from 1950 to 1956 and the FAA from 1956 to 1961 as a simulator operator. She finished her career at Clarks Creek Health Care in 1982. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Edger Truman Neeley; son, Glenn Neeley; brother, Winton Bennett and 1 great grandson. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Bridgeport United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be Monday, April 18, at 11:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Sunday, April 17, from 2:00 - 6:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her children, Corenia Pitchford, Carol (Tom) Andre, Mary Jane Neeley and Earl (Traci) Neeley; brother, Mahlon (Lela) Bennett; sister, Julia Stanley; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren.
