Sharon V. Dakin

Sharon V. Dakin, 81, of Plainfield, passed away April 13, 2016. She was born November 19, 1934 in Indianapolis to the late Herbert and Florence Selzer. Sharon worked in the cafeteria at Plainfield High School many years and retired from Automotive Armature in Mooresville in 1996 after 17 years. Sharon was dedicated to the Lord and her family and was a long-time member of Center Community Church. She was a life-long movie buff and also enjoyed playing dominoes with her dear friends. She will always be remembered for how she loved, laughed, and listened. A memorial service will be held at Center Community Church (5938 Sugar Grove Rd Plainfield, Indiana) on Sunday, April 17, at 4:00 pm. Friends may call at the church from 2:00 pm until service time. Survivors include her children, Matthew R. (Sylvia) Dakin, Maureen E. (Sellie) Walton and Michele L. (James) Redelman; brother, John Selzer; sisters, Betty Akers, Barbara Stephey and Anne Davis; many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Center Community Church in her name.
