Albert L. Eckert

Albert L. Eckert, 90, of Plainfield, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 in his home. He was born on October 10, 1925 in Birdseye, IN to the late George "Leroy" and Viola (Choate) Eckert. Albert was an United States Marine and served in WWII. He retired from Kroger in 1986 after 37 years as a mechanic. Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle (Reid) Eckert. He had 7 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may call on Tuesday, April 5, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include daughters, Rita (William) Collins, Alberta (Kevin) Aufmann, Denise (Larry) Deeds, Cheryl (Floyd) Craft and Kathy (Troy) White;10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
