David D. Cooper, 80, of Clayton, passed away March 8, 2016. He was born in Hendricks County on March 14, 1935 to the late Dwight and Burdell Cooper. David was a 1954 graduate of Stilesville High School and a veteran serving in the Indiana Air National Guard. He was a lifelong farmer in the Clayton/Stilesville area. David was a former member of Belleville United Methodist Church and was currently attending Hazelwood Christian Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Merle Cooper. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 12, at 10:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday, March 11, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Stilesville Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Barbara (Mantooth) Cooper; daughters, Susan Poland and Denise (John) Cottongim; sister, Rosemary Green; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
