Robert B. Hapner, 74, of Amo, passed away February 20, 2016. He was born February 21, 1941 to the late Otho S. and Martha (Keller) Hapner in Indianapolis, IN. He was a veteran of the US Army. He worked 35 years for the US Postal Service for 35 years, with the last ten years as Postmaster for the Quincy Post Office retiring in 1996. Later he worked as a dispatcher for US Aggregates for 5 years retiring in 2005. Robert is survived by his wife, Marylou (Meece) Hapner; a son, Robert B. Hapner II; a daughter, Cathy J. (Jim Lee) Patton; a sister, Jackie Brown; two step-grandchildren, Jimmy Patton Jr., and Ivory S. Patton. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday, February 22 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Coatesville Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the family of Robert Hapner in care of the funeral home.
