Grady L. Sims

Grady L. Sims, 75, of Avon, IN. passed away April 23, 2009 in Plainfield Health Care. He was born November 18, 1933 in Quincy, MS. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War and Vietnam War. He retired from the military as a Chief Master Sargeant. Grady was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plainfield. Funeral services will be today, at 12:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Sims; daughters, Regina Haight, Brenda Burns and Lisa Peavey; brothers, Alvin, Jerry and Larry Sims; sister, Mary Ellen Saltzman; 6 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church.
