Floyd E. Beckley

Floyd E. Beckley, 99, of Indianapolis (Hendricks County), went to be with his Lord and wife of 75 years on Christmas Day, December 25, 2015. He was born May 20, 1916 to the late Romas F. and Freda (McClain) Beckley in Needham, IN. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII. He worked for the US Postal Service as a clerk for over 30 years retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Avon Community Church of God and the Nyswander-Bayliff American Legion. Floyd is survived by three daughters, Nancy Jayne Arnold, Freda "Jerri" Wallace and Charla Sue (Larry) Minnick; 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred A. "Millie" (Koontz) Beckley. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Rocklane Cemetery in Johnson County. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart To Heart Hospice.
