Betty J. Colon

Betty J. Colon, 89, of Speedway, passed away November 20, 2015. She was born March 9, 1926 to the late William R. and Ethelene (Powers) Pool in Greensburg, IN. She was a clerk in the Payroll Department for the State of Indiana for 25 years retiring in 1995. Betty is survived by a son, John N. (Kim) Colon; four sisters, Norma K. Peele, Mildred Frances Hampton, Rosemary King, and Sandra S. Pool; 5 grandchildren, Timothy R. (Katie) Colon, Karyn K.(Brian) Legg, Jon-Micah N. Colon, Sofia N. And Tessa M. Colon; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Marvin R. Colon and a brother, William D. Pool. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, November 23, 2015 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday from 10:00 am until service time at 12:00 pm. A private interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
