Ruth Irene Davis

Ruth Irene Davis, 99, of Danville, IN passed away November 5, 2015 in Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 3, 1916 in Terre Haute, IN to the late Joseph and Effie Bell (Shapard) King. Ruth worked in the payroll department for 10 years at the Terre Haute Tribune Star. She also was a secretary for 25 years at Christman Plumbing, also in Terre Haute. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Avon, IN. Ruth was preceded in death by husbands, Hamilton Marshall Irving and Eugene T. Davis. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 10, at 12:30 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call call from 10:30 am until service time. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Terre Haute, IN. Survivors include her children, Donald (Patty) Irving and Patricia Criss; grandchildren, Mark and Mike Irving, Terrie Criss and Cathy Stampar; great grandchildren, Misty, Shane and Mitchell Irving, Crystal Lane, Mandy Mann, Christopher and Nicholas Stampar; great, great grandchildren, Jada Mae, Malachi and Lacy Lane, Jakenna, Isabelle and Gavin Schwartz, Preston, Mya, Jacob, Ryan, Anna and Emma Irving, Kenzie, Brooke and Alex Mann.
