Dorothy P. Brackett

Dorothy P. Brackett, 88, of Avon, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away September 25, 2015. She was born October 14, 1926 in Putnam County, IN to the late Frank and Louella Cook. She was a retired nurse and medical secretary. Dorothy was a member of Plainfield Christian Church and former member of Bridgeport Order of Eastern Star # 513. Private funeral services were held on Monday, September 28, in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norris E. Brackett, brothers, Earl, James & Ivan Cook, sisters, Della Blue, Minnie Holiday and Ruby Pauline Cook, nephew, Larry Blue. Survivors include nieces, MaDonna Stephens and Madeline Allison; nephews, Melvin, Richard and Earl Talley.
