Kenneth R. McCallister Sr.

Kenneth R. McCallister Sr., 75, of Indianapolis, passed away August 31, 2015. He was born May 17, 1940 to the late Jesse and Mary (Wilcoxin) McCallister in Indianapolis, IN. He was a graduate of Washington High School. He worked for Burger Chef from 1959-1970 leaving as the Assistant to the VP. He was instrumental in designing the food service court at Kings Island. Later he worked in sales for Orkin for 17 years retiring in 1995. He was a proud member of the "Usual Suspects". Ken is survived by his son, Ken R. McCallister Jr; two daughters, Diane Elaine (David) Fisher and Julie Lynn (Janet Murphy) McCallister; his ex-wife and best friend, Judith Coulter; a brother, Alton Ray (Betty) McCallister; 5 grandchildren, Brandon and Zach Fisher, Kelly (Forrest) Plank, Brittany (Andrew Clark) Greene, and Heather (Dustyn) Miller; and a great granddaughter, Payton Plank. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 5, 2015 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday, September 4 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
