Esther E. Trivett

Esther E. Trivett, 89, of Clayton, passed away June 7, 2015. She was born September 1, 1925 to the late William and Sarah (Barnes) Haynes in Ferguson, KY. In the 1940's she was a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse in Kentucky. She was also a homemaker and for over 50 years she was a babysitter for many children, many of which called her grandma. She was a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, the Order of the Eastern Star Lynhurst Lodge #505, and the Admar Club. Esther is survived by two sons, Daniel and David Trivett; a daughter, Esther (Fred) Johnson; a step-daughter, Lucille Faletic; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Trivett; 5 step-sons, Earl, Arville, Dewey, Jay, and O.D. Trivett; a step-daughter, Stella Day; and 10 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the Hazelwood Baptist Church, 9838 S. County Road 0, Hazelwood. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, June 12 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery.
