Virginia (Almond) Husak, 88, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on January 8, 2009. She was born in Plainfield, IN to Roy and Vera (Gill) Almond. Virginia worked for Eli Lilly in Indianapolis and then as a radio/teletype operator for Trans World Airlines in both Indianapolis and Los Angeles. She married Paul Husak in 1961 and they retired to Prescott, AZ in 1975. After retiring, Virginia enjoyed horseback riding and taking care of the multitudes of hummingbirds that visited her feeders. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Paula Case of Phoenix; stepson David Husak of Pinckney, MI; stepson Richard Husak of Hendersonville, NC; and stepdaughter Barbara Ditrich of Sherwood, AR. Virginia has 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday January 17 at the chapel at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
