Georgia B. Long

Georgia B. Long, 92, of Plainfield, passed away May 23, 2015. She was born in Somerset, KY on November 23, 1922 to the late Charlie and Mary Scott. Georgia was a member of Plainfield Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Delmus Long and Deborah Ogle and several brothers and sisters, Clarence, Cebert and Paul Scott, Audry Osborne, Ethel Abbott, Ruth McWilliams, Gladys Long and Pauline Abbott. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Thursday, May 28, in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 27. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her daughters, Rita (Larry) Baker, Carolyn East and Peggy Long; nephew, Charles Pelley; niece, Mabel Cummins; 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
