Dorothy Boruff Turner, 84, of Avon, formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on April 17, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born May 2, 1930 to the late Kinsey C. and Maude (Bloomer) Boruff in Vigo County, IN. She graduated from Pimento High School in 1948 and attended Indiana State University. Dorothy was a musician, artist, homemaker, and she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, David E. Turner, in 1995. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Renaye Turner Parsey; son-in-law, James Parsey; two granddaughters, Chelsea Parsey and Natalie Parsey Cronin; and grandsons-in-law, Jonathan Cronin and Cole Willis. Friends may call on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, from 4:00 to 8:00pm, with funeral services beginning at 8:00pm. Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute, IN at 10:30am on Thursday, April 23, 2015.
