Eddie R. Welty

Eddie R. Welty, 67, of Cartersburg, passed away April 16, 2015. He was born April 2, 1948 to the late Dale and Thelma (Wright) Welty in Martinsville, IN. He was an US Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Danville American Legion Post. He worked for Carson Ford in Brownsburg and then for Rhoades Beverage Co, in Plainfield, and later for Speedway Auto Parts. Eddie is survived by two brothers, Steve and Ronnie Welty; friends, Rod L. (Glenda) and Robert E. Mahan; and several nieces and nephews and close friends. Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm on Monday, April 20, 2015 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday from 5:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm. Inurnment will be on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Cartersburg. Contributions may be made to I.U. Hospice.
