Jennie M. Marvel Winters

Jennie M. (Totten) Marvel Winters, 88,of Plainfield, passed away December 21, 2008. She was born September 2, 1920 to the late Harry Clayton and Laura (Thomas) Totten in Richland County, IL. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary. She married Bert E. Marvel in 1939 and together they had 5 children. She is survived by a son, Bert Marvel; three daughters, Carla Marvel, Linda Dickey, and Mary J. Larkin. A daughter, Delores D. Marvel, died at birth. Jennie is also survived by a brother, Robert Totten; 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Charles W. Winters, who died May 31, 2008; and a brother, Harry Totten. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, December 26, 2008 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Private graveside services will be held Saturday at Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown.
