James Eugene Shockley

James Eugene Shockley, 78, of Plainfield, IN., passed away December 15, 2008. He was born March 15, 1930 in Lebanon, IN., to the late Herbert E. and Fern G. (Hysong) Shockley. He was a graduate of Pinnell High School. He retired in 1992 after 28 years with Farm Bureau Coop Association. Prior to that he farmed in Hendricks and Boone Counties for many years. Jim was a member of Plainfield Friends Meeting and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 18, at 11:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Wednesday, December 17, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie L. (McDaniel) Shockley; daughter, Brenda L. (Tom) Lesperance; stepdaughters, Jerilyn (Terry) Monroe and Georgi Bruner; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
