Crystal J. Codalata, 76, of Danville, passed away March 10, 2015 in her home. She was born March 1, 1939 in Indianapolis, to the late Clarence E. and Ola Crystal Brown. She received her activity directors license from Ball State University. She was a cosmetologist and owned her own shop on west 16th street in Indianapolis. Later she became an activities director at various nursing homes, and later became an aide for the Visiting Nurse Services. Crystal retired in 2001 from Kroger Pharmacy in Danville as a pharmacy tech. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 14, at 10:30 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday, March 13, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery. Survivors include her fiance, Michael Callahan; son, John C. Codalata; daughter, Christine J. Codalata (Raymond) Hull; brother, Jack C. Brown; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 6 nieces and 10 nephews.
