Marlene E. Molly Thornberry, 83, of Clayton, passed away February 28, 2015 in Hendricks Regional Hospital. She was born on October 6, 1931 in Indianapolis to the late Madison and Ruth Ranes. Molly worked as a payroll clerk for the Star News, Mallory and Cummins in her lifetime. She kept the books on the farm and knew the name of every bird that roost on a limb in her yard. She loved music and had a beautiful soprano voice singing in the church at Amo First Baptist Church and Plainfield First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home at 1:00 pm where friends may call from 11:00 am until time of service. Molly was preceded in death by her husband of 56 wonderful years. She will be missed by her 3 daughters, Deborah A. Thornberry, Darlyn (Tim) Eckhart and Lorraine (Marty) Hughes; brother, Richard Ranes; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
