Minnie Lee Pierson

Minnie Lee Pierson, 90, of Plainfield, passed away February 28, 2015 at I.U. West Hospital. She was born on March 7, 1924 in Leakesville, Mississippi to the late Leon and Elizabeth Carroll. Minnie was a dedicated homemaker for most of her life. She also was a foster parent and enjoyed babysitting. Minnie was a member of the Plainfield Calvary Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in West Ridge Park Cemetery at 11:00 am with officiating by Morris Mott. She was preceded in death by her husband Vancil Pierson and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children, James (Pam) Pierson and Patricia (Ed) Johnson; grandchildren, Barbara Long, Paul (Sarah) and Danny (Elizabeth) Pierson; great grandchildren, Ashley (Al) Sims, Tyler Long, Kendall Elizabeth, Lucas Oran, Shelby Carroll and Daniel Jay Pierson; great great grandchild, Cash Alexander Sims.
