Doris H. McDermott

Doris H. Hoover McDermott, 91, of Plainfield, passed away December 5, 2008. She was born August 16, 1917 to the late Walter Edgar and Gertrude (McFaggen) Hoover in St. Croix Falls, WI. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church, the Hand Bell Choir for 10 years and a life member of the American Legion Auxillary, Memphis, TN. She is survived by her daughter, Mary M. Murray; three grandsons, Todd (Kris), Tyler, and Tory (Jeanine) Murray; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis McDermott and a brother, Leslie Hoover. Funeral services will be at 6:00 pm Thursday December 11, 2008 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 pm until service time at 6:00 pm.. Private graveside services will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Plainfield Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
