Gloria J. Knoll

Gloria J. Knoll, 87, of Plainfield, passed away February 5, 2015. She was born July 3, 1927 in Mt. Vernon, IN to the late Louis and Nadine (Wade) Starken. Gloria was a page at the Indiana Senate during high school. She received her undergraduate degree from Butler University. Gloria was a school teacher where she worked at Van Buren and Central Elementary schools retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, February 9, at 1:00 pm where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Plainfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dean Knoll and sister, Jackie Clements. Survivors include her children, Linda Jane (Bill) Jones; Allan Wade (Patty) Knoll; Lisa Ann (Pat) Eads; grandchildren, Donald Edward and Robert Dean Jones, Kristina Michelle Hagemeier, Jesse Richard Knoll, Christopher Dean Kennedy, April LeAnn Harnish and Chad Edward Crawley; 15 great grandchildren. Contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association or to the church.
