C. Lewis Brown

C. Lewis Brown, 82, of Avon, passed away December 21, 2014. He was born March 1, 1932 to the late Charlie and Rutha (Burton) Brown in Sommerset, KY. He was an US Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Duke Energy as a meter lab technician for 42 years retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Danville Church of Christ. Lewis is survived by his wife, Wilma J. (Skomp) Brown; a son, David C. (Nancy) Brown; three daughters, Nancy J. Brown, Donna A. Leachman, and Emmily R. (Tom) Sullivan; two sisters, Norma Hales and Susan (Dick) Mahern; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday, December 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery.
