Erma Bea Swalley

Erma Bea Swalley, 78, of Avon, IN passed away December 5, 2014. She was born February 18, 1936 in Clay City, IN to the late Owen and Bessie Thelma Schlegel. Erma received her associate degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. She also volunteered at Washington Township Library and was a member of Light and Life Free Methodist Church in Avon. She retired from Public Service Indiana in 1996. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 10, at 10:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Tuesday, December 9, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Roy K. Swalley; children, Jay (Heather) Swalley, Glenda (Mike) Pate, Von (Debbie) Swalley, Kara and Ken Swalley; brothers, Gene, Max and Mark Schlegel; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
