Marvin K. Kalb, 87, of Camby, passed away October 25, 2008. He was born February 18, 1921 to the late Conrad and Isabelle (Simmons) Kalb in Shoals, IN. He was a US Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. He was a machine repairman for GM Allisons for 47 years retiring in 1988. His memberships include the St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Speedway, West Newton Masonic Lodge #707, Glenns Valley Conservation Club, Hendricks County Flying Club, and the Experimental Aircraft Association. Marvin was a beekeeper, gardener and an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by two sons, William (Cathleen) and Kenneth (Kay) Kalb; two daughters, Christine Bruns and Martha Kalb; two brothers, Melchior and Dale Kalb; a sister, Elaine Stetler; 6 grandchildren and 1 great granddaugter; and his faithful companion, Roscoe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane (Maxwell) Kalb. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday October 29, 2008 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday October 28. Burial, Fairfield Friends Cemetery.
