James Eugene Sowers

James Eugene Sowers, 67, of Avon, IN. passed away October 18, 2008. He was born May 28, 1941 in Indianapolis, IN. to the late Eugene M. and Phyllis B. Sowers. Jim retired after 26 years as a driver for James Drew Corporation. Most recently he worked part time for Brownsburg School Corporation. He was also a member of Bridgeport Masonic Lodge # 162. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 22, at 11:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Tuesday, October 21, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Judy (Jennings) Sowers; son, Don (Trina) Sowers; daughter, Diana (Eric) Gebauer; brother, William (Billie) Sowers; grandchildren, Ryan, Krista and Kyle Gebauer and Tyler and Catherine Sowers.
