Don G. Childs

Don G. Childs, 74, of Greenwood, passed away October 13, 2014 at I.U. North, Indianapolis. He was born March 8, 1940 in Indianapolis to the late Myron and Bessie Childs. Don was a fireman for Indianapolis Fire Department for over 20 years. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, Greenwood Moose, Eagles Lodge in Beech Grove and the Beech Grove American Legion. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 18, at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 11:00 am until service time. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Childs; son, Travis (Kim) Childs; daughter, Kerrie (Mike) Switzer; sister, Iris Morris and 2 granchildren.
