Jerry Michael "Mike" Towe

Jerry Michael "Mike" Towe, 65, of Plainfield, passed away October 2, 2014. He was born July 20, 1949 to the late Cordell and Toncie Towe in Indianapolis, IN. He enlisted in the US Army in 1972, where he served overseas in Germany. He was honorably discharged on November 16, 1976. He worked in the railroad industry with New York Central, Penn Central and Conrail for 30 years before retiring with Indiana Railroad. He loved outdoor activities such as camping and hunting, but he was also a skilled artist. Mike is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carolyn (Solomon) Towe; a son, Michael Towe; five daughters, Leanne Snodgrass Craig; Robin Snodgrass Cooprider; Angela Snodgrass Montgomery, Cynthia Snodgrass Whyde, and Jerri Snodgrass Patterson; a sister, Patricia Maners; 16 much loved grandchildren and one great grandson; a niece, Chrissy Donahoe; and his beloved dog, Toby. Memorial services will be at 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 9, 2014 in the First Baptist Church of Plainfield, (1012 Stafford Road), where friends may call at the church on Thursday from 4:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm.
