George Davis Lynn

George Davis Lynn, 84, of Clayton, passed away October 2, 2014. He was born March 18, 1930 to the late Thomas Perry and Gracie (Payton) Lynn in Liberty, KY. He was the Grounds Superintendent at the Woodstock Country Club golf course for 50 years retiring in 2000. He was an avid golfer. He attended Life Temple Church in Belleville. George is survived by his wife, Hazel "Sally" (Reemsnyder) Lynn (they were married on August 25, 1948); three sons, Michael W. (Mary E.), Steve D., and George D. Lynn; two daughters, Georgia M. (Craig) Watson, and Janet L. Lynn; three brothers, Jake, Kenny, and Wayne Lynn; two sisters, Carolyn Sue Burger, and Roxie Sumner; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, October 6, 2014 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Sunday October 5, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Entombment will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, IN.
