Carolyn Edmondson

Carolyn Edmondson, 71, of Plainfield, passed away September 28, 2014. She was born May 15, 1943 in Lincoln, IL to the late Julian and Jewel Whitaker. She was a homemaker, mother and teacher. Carol was a teacher at Plainfield High School from 1965 to 1970 where she taught business, shorthand and accounting. She was a member of Hendricks County Senior Citizens Council Board and the Plainfield Library Board. She also taught the Golden Girls and Tuesday morning prayer group at Plainfield United Methodist Church of which she was a member. Funeral services will be held at the church on Friday, October 3, at 11:00 am where friends may call on Thursday, October 2, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey W. Edmondson and sister, Julia Sharon Strong. Survivors include her husband, Dr. James W. Edmondson; daughters, Debi (Daniel) Kinnamon and Kristi (Kris) Samaddar; brother, Glenn (Cindy) Whitaker; grandchildren, Victoria and Brock Kinnamon and Gage, Anya and Keira Samaddar.
