Phyllis J. McGinnis

Phyllis J. McGinnis, 83, of Plainfield, passed away September 23, 2014 in Plainfield Health Care. She was born May 17, 1931 in Monroe County to the late David and Eullia Acuff. She was a homemaker and member of Monrovia Order of Eastern Star and Hope United Presbyterian Church (1331 Section St, Plainfield) where funeral services will be on Saturday, September 27, at 1:00 pm. Friends may call from 11:30 am until service time. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband and 2 sisters, Robert L. McGinnis and Annie Baxter and Judith Bowling. Survivors include a son, Kenneth A. (Sherry) McGinnis; daughters, Pamela J. (Harold) Cooper and Nancy E. (Barth) Fisher; brother, David A. Acuff; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Contributions may be made to the church.
