Robert S. Craig Jr, 79, of Plainfield, passed away September 2, 2014 in Hendricks Regional Health, Danville. He was born June 6, 1935 in Richmond, IN to the late Robert and Marjorie Craig Sr. He graduated valedictorian of Webster High School (Wayne County) IN. Bob was in the United States Marine Corp serving in the Korean War. He earned his undergraduate degree from Earlham College and his Masters from Butler University. In 1975 he received his Doctorate in Education from Indiana University. He was a licenced psychologist and professor at Indiana University. Bob retired in 2010 from the Department of Corrections for the State of Indiana. He was a member of Plainfield Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. Funeral services will be Friday, September 5, at 2:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 1:00 pm until service time. Burial with military honors will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Deniece Craig; son, David W. (Dana) Craig; daughter, Deborah A. (Ed) Rock; brothers, Tom, Dick and Ed Craig; sister, Nancy Lewis; half brother, Harry Craig; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parkinsons Awareness Association.
