Lorin C. Rushton

Lorin C. Rushton, 97, of Plainfield, passed away August 23, 2014. He was born September 13, 1916 to the late Howard and Elva Rushton. Lorin retired from Stewart-Warner in 1970 after 38 years. He also was a Hendricks County farmer. His hobbies include playing golf and boating with his family. Lorin's memberships included Plainfield Christian Church and Plainfield Elks Club # 2186 where he was the first Exalted Ruler. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 26, at 12:00 PM in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 11:00 am until service time. Burial will be in Center Valley Cemetery, Belleville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie K. Rushton and a daughter Lee Anne Mitchell. Survivors include daughters, Lorna Gossmann and Dianne (Bill) Decker; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
