Deborah Elaine Shumaker

Deborah Elaine Shumaker, 61, of Heltonville, IN passed away August 16, 2014 in her home. She was born August 8, 1953 in Indianapolis to the late Enos and Betty Shumaker. Debbie grew up in Plainfield and was a 1971 graduate of Plainfield High School. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Plainfield. She was a homemaker. After raising her 3 sons, she returned to school and earned 2 IT degrees from Ivy Tech College. She also enjoyed crafting, oil painting and playing her piano. Funeral services will be Monday, August 25, at 7:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 5:00 pm until service time. Survivors include 3 sons, Matthew, Daniel and Michael Settles all of Bloomington; brothers, Kevin and Steven (Helen) Shumaker of Plainfield and Ronald (Fran) Shumaker of Cloverdale; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
