Stephen Jay Scott

Stephen Jay Scott, 62, of Indianapolis, passed away July 28, 2014. He was born September 7, 1951 in Indianapolis to Robert E. and Helen Scott. He was a salesman for John Crane Inc. for the past 18 years. His memberships include Plainfield Eagles Lodge #3207, Sons of American Legion in Mooresville Post 103, Bridgeport Order of Eastern Star # 414 and Bridgeport Masonic Lodge # 162. Funeral services will be Friday, August 1, at 10:30 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Thursday, July 31, from 3:00 - 8:00 pm with a Masonic service at 7:00 pm. Burial will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery. Steve was preceded in death by a son, Shaun W. Scott. Survivors include his wife, Therese Scott; son, Stephen Jay Scott II; daughter, Ashley Busbin; mother, Helen Cline; father, Robert E. Scott; brothers, Rob and Mark Scott; sister, Bobbi Jones; grandchildren, Makenzie, Jaylen and Taylor Scott. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his grandchildren in care of Link Federal Credit Union, 5212 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46224.
