Margaret Taylor Bryant, Avon, died August 29 in her home. Formerly of Indianapolis, she was born July 8, 1918 in Belton, TX, the daughter of Gracie and John Taylor. She was a homemaker. For over 10 years she was a volunteer at the Children's Pavilion at Methodist Hospital. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Lester W. Bryant; children Michael (Karen), Robert (Maggie) Bryant, and Susan (Keith) Parsons; daughter-in-law Linda Bryant; grandchildren Matthew, Abigail, and Alex Bryant, Emily and Elizabeth Parsons, and David Palmer. She was preceded in death by son Alan W. Bryant and grandchildren Paul Bryant and Sarah Parsons. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 pm with funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm Tuesday, Sept. 2 at Avon United Methodist Church, 6850 E. US 36. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Arrangements entrusted to Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc.
