Delsie Lee Shoemaker

Delsie Lee Shoemaker, 86, of Plainfield, passed away August 27, 2008. She was born December 24, 1921 to the late Marcus and Myrtle McQueary in Ella, KY. She was a graduate of IU where she received her BS and Masters Degree. Delsie worked in the accounting department at General Motors for 8 years before becoming a teacher at Arsenal Tech High School for 15 years retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband Bud Shoemaker; a son, Mark T. (Ruth) Shoemaker; a daughter, Devonna Sue Morra; a brother, Frank McQueary; a sister, Frieda Sharp; and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday August 30, 2008 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday August 29. Burial, Albright Cemetery, Kokomo, IN.
