Jeffrey A. Terry

Jeffrey A. Terry, 59, of Plainfield, peacefully passed away on July 16, 2014; He was surrounded by his loving family. Jeff is survived by his wife of 23 years, Nancy (Luckett) Terry; his mother, Shirley (Lowe) Terry; sister, Jenny Conwell (John) Barnett; niece, Morgan (Michael) McCrary; great-niece, Mila & mother-in-law Betty Luckett. He will be greatly missed by his loving dog, Oscar and cat, William. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Bill Terry, brother-in-law Brian Conwell and father-in-law William Luckett. Jeff was a 1973 graduate of Plainfield High School. He was an honor student & an outstanding athlete in football, basketball, track & wrestling. He attended Hanover University & played football. He became an avid golfer, playing whenever he had a chance. Jeff was a 4th generation home builder/contractor/carpenter who took great pride in his work; He worked as an estimator & project coordinator for King School Equipment Company for over 18 years; Lee Co. for 6 years in these positions. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 22, at 10:30 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Monday, July 21, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society or Hendricks Co, Animal Shelter.
