Shirley A. Cagle

Shirley A. Cagle, 91, of Plainfield, passed away June 14, 2014. She was born April 30, 1923 to the late Gifford and Leona Ellen (Almquist) Swan in New Haven, IA. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church, the Plainfield OES #414, where she was Past Worthy Matron , and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Shirley is survived by two sons, Steven Swan Cagle, and Philip Van (Amy) Cagle; a sister, Betty Brown; 3 grandchildren, Jakob Cagle, Erin (Adam) Davis, and Andi Cagle; and a great granddaughter, Audery Davis. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 21, 2014 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday, June 20 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. An Eastern Star Service will be at 7:00 pm on Friday. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
